Cheryl Woodruff-Brooks, the multi-talented designer and illustrator behind the popular brand of Nilaja greeting cards, presents her handbags in a classic urban style that puts a spin on the fashion industry. With meticulous attention paid to every detail and heavy ornamentation, Cheryl's artistic products are truly a jeweled treasure and staple in every glamour girl’s closet. Brooks, who was taught early on by her mother and grandmother how to sew, design, paint, calligraphy, crochet, write poetry and even sing, knew she was destined for a creative career. Her grandmother was the one who first taught Cheryl how to draw artwork on her jeans when she was a pre-teen girl. She even coined her own slogan, "I Sing With My Hands, as an ode to her other passion... music.
